A Classic Reception with Wight Vodka

Cowes, England

The stage was set for one of the most celebrated gatherings of classic yachts the world over.  And indeed, with champagne sailing conditions during the days and Wight Vodka cocktail parties into the evenings, the sailors participating in the British Classic Week in Cowes could not have been more satisfied.

Racing conditions were excellent throughout the week, with most days showing 15 – 20 knot breezes and some copious amounts of sunshine.  The racing was as competitive as ever, and this year, the overall winners of key races received bottles of Wight Vodka to celebrate their wins.

Ritu Manocha, the entrepreneur behind 50° North and Wight Vodka, said “What a great week of racing.  The Classic Yachts are so beautiful!  The Thursday evening Wight Vodka Pontoon Party was by far the highlight for us, with Wight Vodka cocktails flowing as the warm July sun set over the Solent.  Just a joy to be part of.”
