ISC Inshore Series Winners Celebrate with Wight Vodka

Cowes, England

The end of season prize giving was made all the better with Wight Vodka and a little help from an extended British summer!

Wight Vodka again partnered with the Island Sailing Club in Cowes for the 2013 Inshore Series.  Chris Thomas, Sailing Secretary at the ISC, said “The Inshore Series consists of three races over the course of the season.  The Nab Tower race started in tricky light winds but finished with 15 knots, which was just fantastic for the 32 competitors in the IRC Class and the 11 in the ISC Rated Class (ISCRC).  It was great to have Wight Vodka’s support and it definitely added to the charged atmosphere.”

Dan Hiza, co-owner of Wight Vodka, presented the trophies and bottles of Wight to the winning boats.  Dan commented, “The racing and socials over the course of the Inshore series have been great.  And the final Nab Tower Race and evening prize giving and BBQ could not have been more fun.  Chris and the team at the ISC certainly know how to conduct a professional, competitive and thoroughly enjoyable racing series, and I would be proud to work together again with the ISC in 2014.”

As the sun was setting, the trophies were presented and the 1st in Class crews received a coveted bottle of Wight Vodka and customized Wight Vodka Regatta Caps.  Congratulations go to the following winners:

Nab Tower Winners

IRC Class – Woof skippered by Jo Richards

ISCRS Class – Assarain III skippered by Terry Rowe & Chris Masterson

Overall Inshore Series Winners

IRC Class – Tilt skippered by Alex & Andy Moore

ISCRS Class – Gazelle skippered by Minka Armitage

Dan continued “The winners will thoroughly enjoy the small-batch, seven-times distilled bottles of Wight Vodka.  Hard work and determination does pay off!”
