Wight Vodka Parties Flow During Cowes Week

Cowes, Isle of Wight, England

Cowes Week is undoubtedly the liveliest seven days seen on the Solent at any time of year. Fitting that Wight Vodka has been taken on by the coolest bars, restaurants and yacht clubs in Cowes, with Wight Cups and Wight Caps flowing strongly.

What exactly is a Wight Vodka Party? Ritu Manocha, Director at 50° North provides clarification: “A Wight Vodka Party is centered on socialising with friends and crew after a great regatta. Some choose Wight Cups, some choose Wight Caps, others simply go for the straight-up martini. It depends on the mood, time of day, and is also a bit dependant on our British weather!”

Sue Wescomb, owner of the Pierview in Cowes commented, “People love Wight Vodka. It’s a completely new experience for most as Wight Vodka was launched just ten months ago. The feedback from our customers has been wonderful, with comments ranging from ‘that’s the smoothest vodka I’ve tasted’ to ‘where can I buy a case for my boat?’ Overall, Wight Vodka is a great fit for the Pierview.”

Another in a series of stellar parties was the Cowes Yachting Magazine drinks reception on Thursday evening, held on the Persuader Too, a Beneteau 57 owned and operated by Mark and SJ Ashman. SJ said “the crew at 50° North were on-hand pouring Wight Cap champagne cocktails for our guests. The atmosphere during the evening was progressive. Our clients and friends had a grand time onboard, and I have to attribute a large part of the success to the Wight Cap cocktails. What a great evening to finish off Cowes Week!”

Manocha continued, “Wight Vodka has received tremendous support on the Island this week, and we look forward to helping the skippers, crews and their supporting friends celebrate throughout the rest of the season. It’s great to hear the positive feedback, especially with many saying that Wight Vodka will make a perfect present for their ‘high-end friends’ back home. Enjoy.”
